Cookie policy

More than cookies

This policy covers cookies, local storage and session storage. Local storage usually remains until cleared; session storage normally lasts for the browser tab session. Essential storage supports functions you request. Optional analytics requires a separate choice and is not a condition of beta registration.

Essential and preference storage

• Sign-in: Supabase stores authentication tokens under an sb-…-auth-token key so your session works. Tokens have expiry/refresh rules and are cleared on sign-out as supported by the authentication service.
• Language: oroponi.policy-country-language stores only the policy language derived from your selected country for the browser tab session. oroponi.language remembers your explicit language choice until changed or cleared.
• Pet and app state: selected-pet preferences, digital-pet progress and temporary signup drafts can be stored locally. Session storage supports pending account saves and reward retries.
• Privacy choice: oroponi.cookie-choice.v1 records whether you allow analytics for up to 180 days, after which you can choose again.
• Ad spacing: the app has a local cooldown mechanism for planned ads. Google AdSense is configured on the main website. Analytics permission does not permit advertising tracking. AdSense Auto ads frequency is managed separately in the AdSense account.

Optional Google Analytics

When configured, Google Analytics loads only after you select “Allow analytics”. It measures approved public-page visits, not beta form contents or private app activity. Google receives technical request information, including an IP address needed for communication, and may process data internationally. Google Analytics uses identifiers in _ga and _ga_… cookies; this integration requests a 180-day expiry without renewal on each visit. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in the integration.

If a Measurement ID has not been configured, analytics does not load, and Cookie settings says it is not enabled. The identifier-cookie lifetime is separate from Google’s server-side analytics retention settings. Contact the controller for information about retention and requests concerning analytics data.

Change your choice

Use the button below or Cookie settings at the bottom of the website. “Essential only” is offered alongside “Allow analytics”. Withdrawing permission stops future analytics on this browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies; the page may reload to unload the script. It does not erase previously collected information. Clearing browser storage removes saved preferences and can sign you out. You can also manage cookies in your browser.

External services

External links, including Instagram, have their own cookie rules when you visit them. We do not embed Instagram tracking in these policy pages.

The main website includes Google AdSense advertising code. Google and its advertising partners may process technical information and use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, measure and prevent fraud in advertising. Advertising choices are managed through Google’s consent messages where applicable and are separate from our optional analytics choice. See Google’s advertising privacy information.
